Thank You Note from the USS Alexandria (SSN 757)

NOVA Council has adopted seven units of the Navy and Coast Guard, and is negotiating the adoption of a local Marine Corps unit.  We are always pleased to provide meaningful assistance to the commands and to their troops' morale.

Recently, one of NOVA Council's adopted units, the USS Alexandria (SSN 757) thanked the Council for our continuing support.   The note below was received from the Alexandria's commanding officer:

On behalf of my crew, and especially my SOY and SOQ,
please pass on to the Northern Virginia Council of the
Navy League our appreciation for your continued support.
We received your award checks in the mail yesterday for our
SOY and SOQ.

My COB and I personally hand these checks to the individuals
-- because we really want to see the look on their faces when
they realize what's in the envelope. It is of great benefit
and a real motivation for other Sailors to want to perform at
the highest levels. Thanks again for your continued OUTSTANDING
support. I look forward to <the time> when we can travel to
Alexandria <Virginia> and show our gratitude in person.
